About Viola

The Viola Group is one of Europe's leading diversified financial services company providing a broad range of financial products and services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, institutions and individuals. Viola's products and services span multiple asset classes and consumer segments across domestic and global geographies. Its businesses are broadly divided across the FinTech space in services such as eWallet, Cards, Remittances and Offline payments, to name a few.

Divami was responsible for the complete User Experience (UX & UI) of the Viola wallet mobile app (Android & iOS), which is Viola Group's first entry into the Indian market. The mobile app is currently live on both Google Play & App stores as is the web app.

Our Approach

We designed Viola Wallet as a mobile-first application, so the designs should cover mobile apps for iOS and Android platforms, as well as responsive designs for a web application for all 3 form factors. We designed the app to be primarily a Wallet application; it provided many other value-added services like Bus & Movie Ticket Booking, Forex, Bill payments etc. We thought through all the edge cases and did flows keeping in mind what could go wrong at each stage. Be it poor Internet connectivity or OTP challenges; we helped users find an easy way out in case they are in deadlock. Since Viola Wallet was one app of the product suite, the UI styling and thematic elements had to follow some of the same patterns and should feel like part of the same app suite. We made sure we abided by that at the same time improve the overall UX.

The Details

We helped Viola with Interaction design, UI design, and knowledge transfer sessions. The team comprised of a design strategist and 2 designers - one UX and one UI. We were involved throughout the development lifecycle, working closely with Viola product development team to help bring the platform to life.
